Born on April 2, 1973, he developed an early fascination with the mysteries of the universe. According to his own recollections, unusual experiences during childhood—including sightings he interpreted as UFO-related—sparked a curiosity that would remain with him throughout his life.

Academically, Bard followed a rigorous scientific path. He earned a scholarship to Transylvania University before transferring to the University of Kentucky, where he studied physics and mathematics and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992. He later pursued graduate-level work in plasma physics at Brigham Young University, building a strong foundation in advanced scientific research.

His professional career reflected that same technical versatility. Bard worked as a process engineer at IBM and later spent time traveling throughout Eastern Europe, broadening his perspective during a period of rapid technological and political change. Upon returning to the United States, he joined Lexmark and contributed to several innovative projects, including M-DISC archival optical storage technology, designed to preserve data for exceptionally long periods. He also worked with consumer electronics and X-ray analytical instruments, developing a reputation as a skilled engineer and problem solver.

Yet despite these accomplishments, Bard’s interest in unexplained phenomena never disappeared.

Discovering Skinwalker Ranch

While studying physics, Bard first heard stories about Skinwalker Ranch. The property, covering more than 500 acres in Utah, had already become famous for reports of unusual activity.

Witnesses described mysterious lights moving through the sky, strange animal behavior, unexplained electromagnetic effects, and anomalous sensor readings that seemed difficult to reconcile with conventional explanations. Whether fact, folklore, or a mixture of both, the stories intrigued Bard.

Although correlation does not prove causation, Bard has noted that the timing of certain events appeared unusual enough to warrant further investigation.

Conductive Soil and Underground Structures

Researchers also reported unusual electrical behavior in portions of the ranch’s soil. Experiments suggested that energy traveled through the ground more efficiently than expected in some locations.
