Mama Kristi McBee of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys had some wise words about her eldest son’s “relatable” dating dilemmas, and Steven McBee Jr. was gracious enough to share it with his followers.

The amusing exchange happened on Sept. 23 after Steven reposted a TikTok video — not his own, mind you — on his Instagram Stories. The TikTok user jokingly wrote, “Guys I think I found the one” before sharing the pros and cons he penned in his notebook. The itemized list of cons included, “Manipulative, lies, hits me, daddy issues, emotionally unstable, cheats, hates my family, yells at me, doesn’t work, crazy, has male friends, has no girlfriends.”

The pros? “Big rack,” to which Steven wrote over the repost, “*sighs* … Relatable.”

Enter Steven’s mom, who screenshotted the post and put it in a private group chat, which Steven later shared on his IG Stories. Kristi texted, “Steven… This was the younger and less wiser you. Now that you’re 31, you see the big picture now, right?”

Kristi continued after adding a praying-hands emoji, “Like, you see how crazzzzzzzzy this looks in black and white, right?? Lol.”

Her oldest responded, “Yes, but you can’t tell me that’s not hilarious,” and added “Sorry mom” over the latter repost.

Details on Steven McBee Jr.’s dating life since his breakup with Calah Jackson
The update to Steven’s dating life comes after his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Calah Jackson, ended their three-year relationship. On the Season 2 finale, audiences watched Calah walk away from production before being a no-show at Jesse McBee and Alli Ventresca’s wedding.

Is Steven McBee Jr. dating anyone now?
In a post-season interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Steven Jr. said he was “not currently [in] anything serious,” as far as romance goes, but “definitely looking.”

The April birth of Jesse and Alli’s daughter, Summer Leigh McBee, and the December 2024 birth of Cole McBee and Kacie Adkison’s daughter, Blair Collins McBee, have shifted how the new uncle approaches his dating life. As he said during an exclusive sit-down at Bravo HQ, “After the new babies in the family, [I’m] starting to realize, ‘Hey, I just hit 30 years old, we’ve got two new nieces, my brothers are settling down, it’s probably time for me to settle down.’”

Added Steven, “So, not really looking for casual dating or just having fun going out in the city at night, I’m looking for something more permanent.”

Kristi McBee’s thoughts on Steven Jr. and Calah Jackson’s relationship
Fans saw Kristi as less-than-approving of Calah and Steven’s relationship throughout The McBee Dynasty’s sophomore season. Take, for example, when Kristi found Calah’s unexpected appearance at Cole and Kacie’s gender reveal party “confusing.”

But that wasn’t all. After Calah gave a chilling warning about the family business’s looming FBI investigation during the McBees’ Ozark getaway on Season 2, Episode 5, Kristi was “done” with the drama. The family’s matriarch told Steven, “You guys cannot be together. I’ve been telling you this for how long? You guys make each other miserable. … It’s not ever going to be all good with you guys.”

Kristi intimated that her son’s Dallas-based GF was a “gold digger,” and detailed more in a confession to producers: “I would do anything to get her out of his life. I don’t do well with someone playing victim all the time and that’s what she does. The last thing I want to see is my son in an unhealthy, toxic relationship.”
