Red Flags That Steven McBee Sr. Was Headed For Insurance Fraud Downfall
Steve McBee Sr.’s reality TV debut on The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys came at a tough time for the farm family patriarch, but there were red flags all along that Steve Sr.’s legal troubles were about to boil over.
Steve Sr. and his four sons—Steven McBee Jr., Jesse McBee, Cole McBee, and Brayden McBee—run McBee Farm & Cattle Co., their family business, in Gallatin, Missouri.
While The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys season 1 touched on some of the business’ financial dealings, in between filming for another season, Steve Sr.’s legal issues came back to bite him. As a result, Steve Sr. isn’t appearing on The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys season 2, as he’s awaiting sentencing for a crop insurance fraud scheme.
Steven McBee Sr. Could Get A 30-Year Prison Sentence
Steven Sr. Pled Guilty
In November 2024, Steven Sr. pled guilty to a crop insurance fraud case. People reported that Steven Sr. waived his right to a jury trial after being accused of one count of crop insurance fraud between 2018 and 2020, costing the U.S. government more than $4 million.
Steven Sr. is currently awaiting sentencing. He faces up to 30 years in prison. Because of this, he’s not appearing on season 2 of his family’s Bravo reality show.
While he hasn’t appeared physically, Steve Sr.’s presence still looms large, especially as his sons try to clean up the mess their father left behind.
Galyna Said He’s Shady In Relationships
Galyna Accused Steven Sr. Of Leading Her On
Steve Sr.’s relationship with Galyna Saltkovska, the CFO of McBee Farm & Cattle Co., put the entire family in a difficult position after it went south. Steve Sr. dated Galyna, but never wanted to label their relationship.
Still, Galyna felt that Steve Sr. led her on, especially after he dumped her for her friend, Masha. Galyna was obviously hurt, but some of her actions following the revelation of Steve Sr. and Masha’s relationship were inappropriate. After Steven Jr. confronted Galyna about being drunk at work, she opened up about her pain.
Bravo reported that Galyna shared more insight on her and Steve Sr.’s relationship, saying, “He would make it sound just so right. … I thought we were going to be, you know, spending the rest of our lives together. We were building a house together. I trusted him with everything. And I am beyond heartbroken.”
Steve Sr. Was Allegedly Living Large
The Family Flaunted Their Wealth
Prior to Steve Sr.’s guilty plea, questions about the family’s finances abounded. While they appeared to live the good life, with expensive equipment, flashy cars, multiple homes, and luxe vacations, they constantly complained that their business was on the brink of failure.
When Calah Jackson revealed that her boyfriend, Steven McBee Jr., would often send her tens of thousands of dollars on a whim, the brothers became suspicious and confronted Steven Jr., as shown in this TikTok shared by Peacock.
In a Reddit post from user AbbyWantsTea after Steve Sr., pled guilty, commenters discussed their shady financial situation. One Reddit user who goes by MsPrissss wrote, “Very much betting the show helped him get busted. I don’t know why ppl with bad spending habits want to do that on tv. Makes no sense.”
Clearly, Steve Sr.’s chickens have finally come home to roost, as he’s now facing a long prison sentence that could change his family, and The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, forever.
