The Discovery Channel show, which debuted in 2005, follows the lives of Alaskan crab fishermen during their peak season in the Bering Sea as they navigate dangerous obstacles, such as physical danger and extreme weather.

Deadliest Catch has become one of Discovery’s most successful reality documentary shows over the years, maintaining a loyal viewership. As a result, the network has renewed the show annually, leading to 20 seasons filled with thrilling adventures.

Deadliest Catch season 21 is approaching its release date and includes a significant change. Captain Jake Anderson recently shared a teaser on his Facebook page, revealing that he’s eagerly anticipating the upcoming season. He hinted that the show would be released in late summer, a departure from previous seasons, which typically premiered in March or April.

The delayed release date suggests that viewers may witness more of the crabbing season and potentially unexpected events and their consequences. According to Discovery, the title of the first episode is “The Wild West.”

While the Discovery Channel hasn’t released the complete list of cast members who will appear in the new season of Deadliest Catch, a few names have been confirmed. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Sig is expected to return.

Sig, the longtime skipper of F/V Northwestern, has been part of the show since 2005, and it seems like he’ll continue to be so for many years to come. Additionally, Sig’s daughter, Mandy, is also expected to appear on the show, along with Andy and Neal Hillstrand.

Deadliest Catch season 21 will also feature Jake Anderson, the captain of F/V Titan Explorer. He joined the show in 2007 and has since become a key part of the series, known for his emotional honesty and perseverance. The new season will also feature other notable names, including Keith Colburn, Steve “Harley” Davidson, Rick Shelford, Jack Bunnell, and Karl Rasmussen.

Additionally, viewers will once again enjoy hearing the famous gravelly-voiced narrator, Mike Rowe, behind the cameras. Mike has been one of the longest-serving cast members in the history of Deadliest Catch.
