Steve Sr. Pleaded Guilty Towards Charges Of Crop Insurance Fraud Towards The End Of Last Year

Recently, the series aired its second season finale on its new home. Throughout this season, fans had also been asking questions about Steve Sr.’s legal troubles. Since then, an update concerning the family’s farm has come to light.
As fans know, Steve Sr. previously pleaded guilty to crop insurance fraud at the end of 2024. The family patriarch, who had previously been under an FBI investigation, now faces up to 30 years in prison with the opportunity for parole. Steve Sr. is scheduled to be sentenced on October 16, 2025.
According to DTN, amid the legal issues concerning Steve Sr., the McBee’s Missouri farm recently defaulted on a $1.3 million loan with a major agricultural financier, Rabo Agrifinance LLC. The news was shared by a Judgement filed in the Circuit Court of Daviess County in the 43rd Judicial Circuit in Missouri back in mid-August.
Fans Are Also Currently Wondering About The Fate Of The McBee Dynasty
The financier first entered the judgment of default in the Iowa District Court back on June 25, 2025. According to the notice of judgment, “The judgment was entered against the defendants McBee Family Farms and Steven Arthur McBee, in the principal sum of $1,171,000.00, and accrued interest through June 23, 2025, totaled $133,995.98, and the costs of the original action were taxed at $0.00. Interest continues to accrue at a per-diem rate of $683.08 from and after Judgement Date, plus all future costs and expenses of collection.”
This also comes out amid other concerns for the McBee family. With the series recently ending its second season, fans have also been wondering if the series will be coming back.
As previously reported, many fans are still hoping to see more of the family, especially as members have recently gotten married and have had more children. The ongoing drama concerning Steve Sr. could also be featured in upcoming episodes. However, at the time, it was noted that whether the show would get a third season hadn’t yet been confirmed.
