TRAGIC NEWS😭! Steven McBee Sr. Sentenced — His Sons’ Emotional Reactions Leave Fans in Tears 😢

McB Family Shows United Support for Steven McB Senior After Federal Sentencing

Members of the McB Dynasty: Real American Cowboys cast are publicly standing behind Steven McB Senior following his sentencing in a federal crop insurance fraud case.

On October 16, a U.S. District Court judge sentenced the Missouri rancher to 24 months in prison, followed by two years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay more than $4 million in restitution and must self-surrender before December 1.

Though he had faced a potential maximum sentence of 30 years, prosecutors had recommended 41 months in prison. The court ultimately handed down the two-year term.

Social Media Messages of Support

In the hours surrounding the sentencing, several family members took to social media with messages of unity and strength.

Steven McB Jr. shared a previously posted Father’s Day photo of himself and his father riding horseback, adding the message:

“Love you, Dad. Whole family is here for you.”

Cole McB reposted a photo from Jesse McB and Ali Ventresca McB’s wedding day, writing:

“We will get through anything together. To the hardest working man I know, it’s our turn to be here for you. We got you, Dad.”

Meanwhile, Galina Saska, Steven Senior’s ex-girlfriend and CFO of McB Farm & Cattle Co., shared a passage from Theodore Roosevelt’s 1910 “Man in the Arena” speech on her Instagram Stories, tagging Steven Senior.

After sentencing, Steven Senior shared the same Roosevelt excerpt on his main feed and added a line from Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar:

“Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once.”

Jesse McB later posted an image of his father holding a hammer near stonework, adding the Latin phrase Invictus maneo — commonly interpreted as “I remain undefeated.”

The overall message from the family was clear: despite the legal outcome, their loyalty remains intact.

What Was Steven McB Senior Convicted Of?

In November 2024, Steven McB Senior pleaded guilty in Kansas City federal court to one count of crop insurance fraud.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, he admitted that between 2018 and 2020 he underreported corn and soybean crop yields, resulting in more than $3 million in improper federal crop insurance payments and premium subsidies. The actions caused economic losses to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Although the offense carried a potential sentence of up to 30 years, the judge sentenced him to:

  • 24 months in federal prison

  • Two years of supervised release

  • More than $4 million in restitution

He must report to a federal prison camp by December 1.

Steven Jr. Opens Up About the Emotional Toll

Months before the sentencing, Steven McB Jr. spoke publicly about the emotional strain the FBI investigation placed on the family.

“It’s been a very, very stressful time for our family,” he said in a July 2025 interview. “As much good as we’ve had going on, that has always been this cloud hanging over us.”

As the sentencing date approached, he described feeling “scared, nervous — anything and everything.”

“We love him so much and love our family unit,” he said. “To picture him not being here for any amount of time is scary. But we know if we stick together as a family, we’ll make it through anything.”

Life Behind Closed Doors

While public reactions online ranged from sympathy to criticism, sources say the family’s focus has been on continuity and preparation.

At the ranch, responsibilities have shifted:

  • Steven Jr. is overseeing day-to-day operations and financial coordination.

  • Jesse has taken on supplier logistics and team management.

  • Cole is focusing on brand partnerships and media strategy.

  • Braden continues core farm operations.

Those close to the family describe a mix of resolve and quiet grief.

“They knew consequences were possible,” one source said. “But hearing the sentence made it real.”

A Divided Community

In Gallatin and surrounding areas, reactions have been mixed. Some residents recall Steven Senior’s philanthropy and long-standing presence in the community. Others emphasize accountability.

“It’s hard,” one local said. “But justice has to be justice.”

What Comes Next

With Season 3 of McB Dynasty in development, production insiders say discussions are underway about documenting how the family navigates this chapter.

For now, though, the focus remains personal rather than performative: preparing for Steven Senior’s surrender date and stabilizing the business in his absence.

As one insider put it:

“This is the first time their resilience isn’t about droughts or cattle markets. It’s about consequence — and how a family responds when its foundation is tested.”

Whether viewers see redemption, reinvention, or simply resilience, one thing is certain: the McB family is choosing unity as they step into an uncertain season.
