The Below Deck Mediterranean crew is used to some difficult charter guests causing a stink — metaphorically, that is — but nothing could have prepared them for when someone pooped in their shower and left the mess for them to clean.
During Season 10, Episode 14, Kizzi Kitchener (who had previously discovered the poo while scrubbing a guest bathroom) announced that the culprit had, thankfully, only struck once. “There’s no poo in the shower tonight,” Kizzi revealed to Aesha Scott. “Best day of my life.”
As Aesha playfully remarked to a producer, “I’m relieved there is no poop again tonight, but I’m not surprised. I mean, how could there be? Surely, that person — whoever they are — is empty.”
After all, nobody could have been quite as invested as Aesha, since she was the one who ultimately volunteered to clean up the mess. Though she never cracked the case of who pooped in the shower, after the guests officially departed Bravado, the chief stew came to her confessional armed with plenty of puns, along with her best old-timey detective impression, for good measure.
“It looks like the poo-petrator will remain a mystery,” she conceded, likening the whodunit to age-old unanswered questions from history and pop culture alike. “But I don’t like it remaining a mystery. Oh, you think you’re gonna get away with turd-er, do you? Not on my watch!”
Just as punishments sometimes don’t fit the crime, in this case, the charter guests’ tip didn’t exactly reflect the extra gag-inducing work that Aesha and her interior crew had endured.
After assembling the yachties for the usual post-charter tip meeting, Captain Sandy Yawn heaped praise on Aesha and her “pro” team, before breaking the news of a lackluster gratuity.
“Sometimes, you’ll do a fantastic job, and then maybe their budget doesn’t allow them to leave what other people can,” Captain Sandy began, prompting Aesha to preemptively declare, “Oh God,” and bury her head in temporary deckhand Gael Cameron’s shoulder.
Sandy went on to reveal, “The total is $16,000; $1,400 dollars per person.”
In her producer interview, Aesha shared her reaction to the lower-than-usual tip amount.
“Oh, you’re gonna s–t in my shower and now leave me a s–t tip?” she said, sarcastically adding. “How kind. You shouldn’t have.”
