Steven McBee Jr. of “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” is not shying away from discussing the challenges his family is facing. The acting head of McBee Farm & Cattle recently shared how the family business is holding up following his father’s legal troubles, and how they’re fighting to keep their legacy alive.

How the McBee Family Is Saving Their Farm

Speaking with Bravo’s “The Daily Dish,” McBee Jr. admitted that the road has been difficult but brighter days are ahead.

“We’re not out of the woods yet. It’s still a challenge each and every day, but we’re in a much better position than we were in during season 2,” he explained.

“To say there’s light at the end of the tunnel and we actually have a path to saving the farm felt like a fever dream at one point — but it’s there and we can see it getting brighter and brighter every single day,” McBee Jr. added.

Since the season 2 finale, the family has been busy expanding their work beyond the cattle ranch. They’ve taken on ventures like their Missouri-Arkansas carwash chain, brisket contracts, and a booming beef jerky business. “We’re making about a million snack sticks a month,” McBee Jr.n said.

He also revealed plans to turn the farm into a destination for visitors. “We’re working on making this farm a tourist destination with on-site farm visits, cabin stays, and tours, where we can give back to those that have helped us save it through supporting us and give everyone that wants the chance to come live the simple life on the farm, even just if for a couple of days,” he said.

Looking ahead, McBee Jr. is determined to keep the family legacy alive. “Continuing to work together as a family, I have no doubts we will get to the other side and be able to save the family farm for the next generation to enjoy,” he concluded, referencing the newest McBee family members, Blair Collins McBee and Summer Leigh McBee.

During an August 26 episode of the “Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe” podcast, McBee Jr. shared a surprising story involving his mom, Kristi McBee. After a shower scene in the season 2 premiere showed his bare backside, Kristi suggested with a laugh that he should consider OnlyFans.

“I thought about it. Times are tough around the farm,” McBee Jr. joked. He admitted he was nervous to watch the episode alongside his mom, who he described as “very strict.” Instead of reacting negatively, Kristi cracked the joke: “Why don’t you just go start an OnlyFans?”

The lighthearted story comes amid serious challenges for the family. Steve McBee Sr., who was absent from much of season 2, pleaded guilty in November 2024 to federal charges connected to a multi-million-dollar crop insurance scam. He is currently awaiting sentencing, scheduled for October 16, and faces up to 30 years in prison.

McBee Jr. acknowledged the uncertainty but expressed hope for the future. “We’re ready to get past that day, deal with whatever comes of it, and move on, to say the least. We know no matter what, if we stick together as a family, we’ll make it through anything,” he concluded.

Fans can watch seasons 1 and 2 of “The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” on Peacock.
